Which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, only add in the fact that since trolls come from an incestuous slurry [they're insect-like, so] it means someone who you supposedly got the majority/all of your genes from. Regardless of the veracity of that, with how trolls believe they should emulate their Ancestors and continue on from their unfinished work, once you add in that they're close to exact genetic duplicates-
Oh, and since technically the 12 trolls who are in Homestuck and their Ancestors were created through a process known as ectobiology, not the incestuous slurry mentioned above? Actually Eridan and his Ancestor are the same genetically.
-Basically I really doubt sending Eridan's own scent back to him would repel him.
